  1. Gary wtf? It can't be all that bad? I am going to university and the degree does prepare you in a way lol. I have learned so much maybe not praticality but definetly how people work. And especially getting first hand experience as to how disconnected my classmates are from each other. The 4 years is helpful. For example if we want to be entrepreneurs, doctors, psychologists or scientists we need that fucking degree. So don't come at us with all of your shit. Thank you.

  2. Hie Gary, am 21 years old in Zimbabwe, I just recently started college and the most fucked up part is that my uncle forced me to get admitted at a local university and then later he told me that I should pay for it myself. I stay with him and he told me that if I don't do college then I move out of his house. Our economy is dead and I can’t get a bullshit job that can sustain me to rent a bullshit apartment and eat dirt. For the past year and a half I have managed to save up to $500USD. I love forex trading and right now I am practicing on demo instead of preparing for an exam about some bullshit, irrelevant, fucked up course that I don't have an idea of where I’ll apply that shit, and I am to write it in a few hours. What I had in mind is to relocate to another country but too much restrictions, Visa, work permit etc. Idk man, what do you think I should do, please help with advice!!!

  3. A better idea is that you can spend many hours in a library reading which is what college and university is meant to be. Submit essays in essay writing competitions which are often cheap or free, attend free lectures, enter debating teams, attend meetups for subjects you would otherwise study at college or university. Alternatively come to Australia where we charge half price American degrees for univerisity skills transferable. Yes the bosses may have people with degrees running their corprorations however they still need these literate, articulate, trained technically skilled people. Another peice of advice from these self made businessmen is often, hire people smarter than yourself to do the job you need done, those people have degrees. Money is not everything having self respect and pursuing lifelong learning are fulfilling in and of themselves. Books are far cheaper than lambourginis and flat screen tvs or mansions and the more of them you read the less material posessions you will desire. Also Bill Gates reads frequently so there is potentially a correlation between money and books.

  4. I wanted to get a degree in marketing and one day be a marketing manager but I’ve learned more about marketing (ig Facebook etc) online and through trial and error than I do from school. I don’t understand the “education curriculum” it’s a load of horse shit.

  5. When you get older college days you won’t remember as much and friends will split away depending on your lifestyle so it’s best to work on yourself and build long-term value and when you are taken care of, you can hang out with ppl who do the same thing you do!

  6. @garyvee sir, if college is a vacation(my local college seriously is), then why I need to study hard for sem exams to get good percentage for a worthless degree with my passion being dance??….& Its easy to get into a stupid college then to convince parents to get me into a dance institute(as they feel it's not that worth it!!)… Teachers want me to have it(degree) as a backup plan & learn dance later!!
    It sucks!!

  7. Im going to uni knowing that its not what determines my success, im simply going there to meet new people who might have the same vision as i do and so.i can get a better experience in life because im studying abroad.
