6:55 – In the quickly-evolving and shapeshifting landscape of the new, digital music industry, where all music is mind-bogglingly easy to download for free, it has never been more important for us artists to change up the way we approach marketing ourselves since music itself isn’t creating income anymore. I think I love ads in the bathroom. People think I hate all traditional media, that I’m all about social. But don’t forget I’ve spewed about how I think Super Bowl ads are underpriced. The truth is I just care about the attention graph. Show me where the eyes and ears are, and I’ll show you something I believe in.

I believe that when I go pee-pee, and I see a sign right down there in front of me, there’s a little bit of an issue: we are all taking out our phones now. I did a survey of my staff and everyone says they do it. So, the value of urinal signs and bathroom stall ads has certainly gone down. But do I think that there is still value because people will absolutely notice it. They are better than other outdoor mediums.

BUT the vulnerability to these types of ads, which I am fan of, is phone culture. I didn’t look at my phone while I was peeing three years ago. But now I do.

  1. The Truman show is exactly how one would build their blockchain profile. But people would be in control of their own content so they could pick and choose what content was broadcast to which group of your friends in which locations of the world.

Data and content are the new digital assets that we will be selling online.

  2. I wanted to do an ad for 50 dollars, will it not allow that little or is there a way to do this?
Should I just do a boost post option if my budget is 50? I want to promote a song I released.

  3. Nonsense i never use my phone when i go to pee in the urinals. Its not only un hygenic it is also matter of privacy. Why in the fuck would you use phone when evey one else is peeing in urinals? The pee literally goes into the urinal and splases back to your phone. Cut to , four of you guys checking your phone while eating your sandwich with your bare hand. Gross gross gross… I like your energy but if you can please give advise and opinion that is bit just glit and glam but is thoroughly thought.
