  1. Gary I realize the chances of you reading this are slim but I will feel better just posting this. You have so much good stuff to share but you make it so hard to lesson to. It amazes me how blind you are to your own presentation. Every time you use the “F” word you proclaiming to the world there is something small in you’re life you trying to make up for. “F” talking is power talking, people use these words because deep down they feel what they have to say doesn’t have enough value they have to empower their own presentation, when in reality these words do the opposite and diminish what you are saying. I feel so much better now!

  2. It's always a treat to see Gary take questions with such genuine compassion & connection to the audience member. I love that he takes into consideration the "asker" is nervous, so he always asks their name & never rushes through pleasantries. The patience Gary has to be asked "how are you?" a zillion times is pure kindness.

  3. I think lots of people work 18 hour days, especially stressing and worrying on stuff around their job/business.. The difference is if you are working on stuff that going to bring you forward or just stress you out?

  4. The idea of working for somebody else makes me anxious.. I worked for a popular tourist pub/restaurant when I was 15/16 years old – I was one of the girls that would get tourists to come in (very decent n' posh) I left after a week! Did a 3-month internship and left after a month. Couldn't do 3-year Uni because felt like a waste of time so went on a One Year Intensive (hustled like a maniac) Applied to over 100 places in London throughout 3-4 months – nothing! I was completely crushed! So I went back to my hometown and created two startups that I'm not even running at the moment. First one was up in 3 months, it was too early for the market, I still looked for investment but it was not scalable. The second one was up and running in just a month, but I lacked self-awareness and created something around a topic that was super trending but I knew nothing about. The first one ended up making a bit of profit because the investment was under £250 and the last one I lost over 2k (sorry mom!). Since then I've been trying to grab more information before jumping into something, after about 2-3 years I think I got something. I'm not even looking for investment, I want to test it if it works at a smaller scale first so that I am sure what I am getting into. 3 years ago I was advised to get investment regardless of what I was doing because at least I would have a salary and then if it didn't work I'd be fine, I think the reason why I didn't do it was because I wasn't doing it for the money (that I really really needed) but for the cause and achievement of something. I wouldn't mind making no profit or salary for years if I knew that I was building something at the level I envisioned. I should also mention that I was doing this not particularly under my name because at the same time I was running my own website and social media (with ultra high standards), under the idea that independently of what I would do, having an audience would make things less lonely and easier in the future.

Little random, I guess I was in the mood for sharing!
    Thanks +GaryVaynerchuk

  5. Dude, everything regarding charitable giving and being a great human being after 39:55 is straight #fire and good-hearted truth. Yeah, it's great to do nice things and it's cool to be acknowledged for it, but there's no point in being charitable if you're doing it for publicity. There's something about wanting to do nice things just to be nice that really resonates with people. Plus, I think of Tai Lopez's review of Sun Tzu's Art of War where he quoted the line about not letting know everything about what you're doing. Like Gary said, he's self-aware and he's comfortable with himself, so if someone complains about what he s or isn't doing, it doesn't matter because he knows and is executing on what he wants to do
