Awesome Tip: How to Grow a Family Business | Gary Vaynerchuk Original Film

In my 20s, I had a burning desire to pay back my parents for everything they did for me.

They didn’t put me on “financially”, they put me on emotionally. And I’m unbelievably grateful for that.

It was the great joy of my life to enter my family business and work hard for them for 15 years … I would do it 500 times over if I had to!

I talk more about my family business in this video – check it out and leave your two cents in the comments!

  1. Damn, man, my eyes are full of tears! Working for my dad here and, yeah, just after my 29 I realized that I was full of shit and my dad gave a lot to me and he's still giving. I just can be grateful for my dad and for you, Gary.

  2. Talks a big game turned 3 million into 160. Big numbers but still started with 3 mill. He’s shoveling shit into everyone’s mouths. A non racist trump if you will. Successful but how relatable to real people? Not one bit. “ my grandmother made me do chores one day” shut up you were a millionaire at birth. Look up the real numbers people.

  3. I really respect everything about gary but only one thing bothers me here is,
He is associated with the business of alcohol i.e. wine(and that's okay)
He helps so many people change their lives and thinks about the young generation in a very critical sense and all sorts of advises portray that he cares significantly about the truth.
What about the truth of alcohol industry? Packaged poision is the real business? The second most addictive substance in the world which Kills over 2.5 million people not even close to heroin which is 70000.
So this basically says that we should just care about the business and finances ,and not what the product is doing to the society for years with everlasting effects on the life.
And some morons will say what about moderate drinkers,we all are fine
What if i tell u to take heroin in moderation?would that be fine?
Does gary care about the fact that he is associated with a wine i.e. alcohol industry?
Does wine and alcohol consumers have good consequences after consumption?

  4. Hey does anyone remember the episode number when Gary was in his office (I think signing books) and he was waiting to go into a meeting. But the ppl he was meeting with were not ready. He sent Tyler to check. Soon as he did, they were instantly ready Gary got pissed lol. He then made them wait in return and told Tyler "they fucked up"…which they did. The reason I want to find this episode is to show people the next interaction a few minutes later between Tyler (I think it is) and Gary. Ty comes back and tells Gary they have to go now because theyre late…Gary responds "I don't have to do anything." I think thats an important mindset to remember throughout life. Not enough people realize that. Theyre victims to what other people say they have to do. I want that moment in Daily Vee to get more awareness!

  5. I could not relate more to Garys story, especially being raised with foreign parents who hardly understand English XD And if anyone happens to be interested in healthy living + eating, then you know what to do! I make eating healthy fun, joyful and vibrant! Please know though, that just like the legend Gary himself, I too appreciate your time and truly value tour attention, so hopefully you get something from it 🙂

  6. Without a doubt, one of the most true statements around "scared to embellish, let alone lie… it comes from lack of entitlement." I worked for my family's cleaning business since I was 15 and while there, a customer approached us with a unique problem that I invented a robot for. My grandfather, the old school Portuguese guy that he is, did not believe in tech whatsoever. Told me to take the idea out "behind the barn and shoot it between the eyes." While I would tell him about things over the phone with the bot or the patent and idea he would — mid conversation — walk over to the toilet, flush it and hang up on me. Now that's radical candor! I got no emotional, financial, or any other kind of support or coddling and it's what made me who I am today. Now that I've reached some success, I can say I did it on my OWN, and there isn't a more liberating feeling on this Earth. 2nd Gen immigrant family!
