  1. Add to my students that a college degree does not guarantee you a job and a great life but it may be the key to open doors to opportunities otherwise either will be close to you or you have to spend a lot of time even getting a seat at the table. I believe in find a ways to go to college for free not pay crazy student loans in being crazy day for the rest of your life but a lot of my students that’s coming from the inner-city and being a black man I know That having a degree side steps in the time that I have to put in in certain environments to prove that I’m not incompetent because the color of my skin or because of the city or the neighborhood that I came from. Even as a teacher in some of my experiences with parents black-and-white they assume that I can’t teach because I’m a black man or they are very shocked and surprised that I truly know my content and I’m not just a bully who make the kids afraid because I’m a big black man that’s scary to the rest of the world. I do believe that there is some jobs that you shouldn’t waste your time and your money going to college for but you at least she’ll have the academic prowess that gives you the option to choose to go to college or not. A lot of young people that I come across haven’t gotten to that level yet to say I chose not to go to college because I’ve got other things I’m gonna do a lot of them aren’t at the level yet to make that choice or the ability level to make that choice.

  2. Sure as fuck yes!!
And to think that here in Spain Entrepreneurship is a post grad masters degree that you need to be able to get the government "Autonomo" certificate to start any business (especially as an immigrant). Go figure!
No wonder the "B" economy out performs the formal sector.

  3. I my country i can attend university for mostly free. I guess i will take that path and use that opportunity to learn some specialized skills, besides that i can still take the time which is left to get into learning stuff about what it takes to go business and start gaining some experience.

  4. If you aren't truly specializing in a particular field while in College/University, it is JUST NOT WORTH IT. As far as entrepreneurship goes, I totally agree with Gary. I believe that true credibility comes from multiple failed startups, and NOT from an expensive piece of paper from some glorified institution.

  5. i agree. i went in for medicine but im graduating next semester and i can safely say, these degrees are fucking useless without a masters program to employment. furthermore- when it comes to business and money, there are way more qualitative experiences and lessons to be learned from starting on your own and building something.

  6. You have two choices in life, Self learn or get a degree
A degree is only useful if its in support of an end goal

    let me expound:
An aspiring doctor goes to med school to be a doctor.(IMPOSSBLE TO SELF LEARN)
An aspiring lawyer goes to law school to be a lawyer. (ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SELF LEARN)

An Entrpreneur goes to college for any degree he see's necesary to whatever HIS goal is.

for example, 19 yr old dude wants to start a tech company, has a solid idea (Not some BS yo app)
he goes to college for tech related shit (programing, computer science or whatever.) OR (SELF LEARN)

another young man who wants to be an entrepreneur wants to instead start a renewable energy company OR HE CAN SELF LEARN (GOOD IDEA EITHER WAY)

that kid would go to take (physics, engineering etc.) OR (HE CAN SELF LEARN) (GOOD IDEA EITHER WAY)

An aspiring entrpreneur that doesnt have a fuckin clue what his business is going to be
he goes to business school thinking that if he wants to be a businessman he goes to business school <—– IDIOT

    ^ ^ ^ ^
    IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT

This all ties in to the concept of WHO YOU ARE and WHAT YOUR PASSION IS and HOW YOU ARE GOING TO GET THERE
