Awesome Tip: SXSW GaryVee Keynote | Austin 2016
—
Gary Vaynerchuk builds businesses. Fresh out of college he took his family wine business and grew it from a $3M to a $60M business in just five years. Now he runs VaynerMedia, one of the world’s hottest digital agencies. Along the way he became a prolific angel investor and venture capitalist, investing in companies like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Uber, and Birchbox before eventually co-founding VaynerRSE, a $25M angel fund.
The #AskGaryVee Show is Gary’s way of providing as much value value as possible by taking your questions about social media, entrepreneurship, startups, and family businesses and giving you his answers based on a lifetime of building successful, multi-million dollar companies.
Gary is also a prolific public speaker, delivering keynotes at events like Le Web, and SXSW, which you can watch right here on this channel.

19:13 you can't ever, cry over the way it is
@ 41:20 thought it was a joke. 8 min……minute by minute..I was like..no way this guy is still talking…dammit!!! But the best part…witnessing Gary's patience
Team Human. Period.
"The reason you love your parents is because they loved you first". That might be one of the wisest things Gary has ever said.
glad I grew up in the northeast, you guys got it all twisted, its just basenote of desperation in all this.
Thank you so much for all the hard work you do!
I love dogs more than humans.
Gary, you are a fucking gem and a force to behold. You are a huge role model of mine, thank you for publicizing your life and teachings. I cannot thank you enough, you truly set the standard for hustle!
Garry Vee, are you still trying to figure out how to teach someone self-awareness and empathy (9':30")? Try yoga… and don't worry, it wont rewire your brain so you stop being happy 🙂
PS I started watching some of your Tubes! Not necessarily agree on all, but hell yeah you speak some hard truths bro!
Have you realized that you're a stand up comic with context? Brilliant.
There's a cut in this video 🙁 at 21:49
Simon… why?
I'm from NZ….
Why?….
Gary, thank you so much for this WONDERFUL Keynote! I hope you don't mind me putting in my two cents, but in order for one to bring empathy into the forefront of his/her business, I highly recommend (as a preschool teacher and co-owner) spending time…LOTS of time…with children because the desire to teach them empathy will become instinctual. What will be learned from this experience will easily transition to a business setting…I truly believe it!
What a fucking weird self entitled crowd, so much cringe.
All of these long form Q&A's are priceless. Really enjoyed the Propeller Fest and MastermindTalks Keynote speeches as well!
SIMON with his SIMON stories.
58:04 lol
He is empathetic, he levels with all the people who give the questions. I think I hear it in his voice as soon as he starts replying.
There are little gems in simons story if you would LISTEN instead of waiting for your turn to speak.
The people who are shitting on Simon are going against everything that Gary is saying.
Simon is a douche…fuck off..wasted so much time
I have never seen a person this right on and honest. He's amazing. I feel like changing my life now.
Authentic & real. Gary's style is going to start a a trend of new entrepreneurs who are going to start being themselves without trying to impress everybody
"Nobody gives a fuck about your feelings, bro" LOL
Loved the video, the answers, and real talk – but is everyone at SXSW long winded with their questions? Good grief – condense!
Wow, the empathy for that guy who kept talking forever around 45minute mark was insane, very patient listening to that story – I can see plenty of other people stopping him short. Really cool to see that difference in how you react Gary – some benefit more from an abrupt answer (almost a kick up the arse), whereas that guy needed to be heard entirely. Loving your stuff.
gary is the fuckin man. I quit school 10 years ago and went into business for myself, it's been rough, but it's been so rewarding and incredibly fulfilling. Thank u for helping me now and reminding myself that I wasn't a fuckinn nut job for thinking business school COULDNT teach me business and I didn't want to work for anyone anyway. good lookin out. I fought everyone I loved who loved me to do what I love. that's what it takes. no shortcuts, no loopholes, no hacks, just drive.
Around the 32:20 mark, what's the name of the free app Gary was talking about?
Gary, I just found your videos tonight and it's propelling me even faster towards the change I've been making in my life. Going from a job that I don't enjoy, to something I love doing.
The kiwi guy must be drunk AF
"I wish different people were here. I'm just telling the truth" Priceless.
I want to be as busy as you…
that interaction wth the new zealander, frickin awsome!!!
The guy at 43 mins wins the award for most boring question ever. Speed your ass up boy.
