People overthink their businesses – who they hire, how they market and what they spend their money on.

If you’re a start-up, I firmly believe you can make real noise with a small, scrappy team of three or four people. You just have to know what you need.

Regardless of your industry, documenting the journey is the best way to show potential customers who you are and what you do.

The following 8 minutes is a few different conversations I had with a few start-ups. What was your biggest takeaway from this? Any feedback is helpful, tweet @GaryVee to let me know your thoughts.

1:10 – why I believe in three/four person teams
3:15 – how to market a law firm

  2. Gary, your copy writers and post production people are slacking. All of your LinkedIn videos have typos in the captioning. It looks pretty amateur.

I can write for you. I can film, too, if you want that. Oh and I can do graphics. Oh and I edit audio (and video if need be).

Oh yea, I can manage social media ad campaigns as well.

  3. Great content in this video. A consultant can keep you from wasting time and money, but you need to be out of the bootstrapping phase and have some knowledge. The knowledge allows you to maximize the money you are spending (IE – knowing the right questions to ask).
