  1. My favorite move of location would have to be from Augusta to Atlanta only because it provided me with even more networking and possibly job opportunities. It also allows me to broaden my horizon more in my career field. Also I feel that you made valid point you stated that work ethic and talent coincide with each other as well as putting in time.

  2. To Gary's point, you've got to have a passion for what you plan to do. While you might not have the GVee level talent, you can compensate with fueled passion and strong work ethic… Nobody was born with all the gifts of being successful… except Gary maybe :D.

  3. BOY…I'm so behind your videos..shame on me….but glad you shared your last show in "that office"…..just watched your new office video…NICE GARY…..the song played in my head (movin on up) the whole time I watched….your shoooooooooooooooow! ty for all you give us!

  4. Best move I ever made was to Pittsburgh from Orange County, California 5 years ago. Southern California is a great place to visit, but I didn't love living there. Too many people trying to get ahead without ethics. I know I was younger and I didn't like sales as much as I liked putting in the man hours on the actual production side. I've learned a lot and choosing the people to work with is a huge advantage, along with growing and learning to love sales. Not that I can't service every customer, but I can pick and choose good people that I reach out to and build on that business relationship. The east coast is a little warmer too (people wise).

  5. My recent move to Berlin from Toronto is up there for me! I had never been to Europe and landed the job via Skype but was so sure of what needed to be done at that moment in my life, so I bought a plane ticket with no hesitation and moved here 3 weeks later. LOVE the leap of the faith feeling!

Congrats on the new office! Looks awesome from the previews on Facebook – well deserved!!

  6. The move to Denmark for my study abroad was pretty incredible. Definitely one of the hardest moves I made, but it was amazing. I was in a friends wedding the night before I left – we celebrated all night, I got 3 hours of sleep, then hopped on a plane for 3 flights and 17+ hours of traveling loaded down with everything I needed for four months abroad before collapsing in a new country and a new adventure.

  7. Working hard is important…..but at the end of the day the ability to adapt and evolve is key. If you continue to just "out work" everyone, someone will figure out how to out work and out smart you.

Everyone should work hard. If hard work is the end all be all, than donkeys would be saints.

Finding ways to make processes more efficient, and thus freeing up more time for you and the team to increase effectiveness, is paramount.

You are right though Gary, there are not shortcuts.

  8. Favourite move was to my current house. I paid £7,000 upfront (using credit cards) for the rent, because I had to prove I could afford it and I didn't have data or age to back me up. Been here a year now, has been great. Right by the sea, has a lovely garden and an office so I can work from home. Best of all, managed pay off all the debts and build up some good savings).

  9. First, @GaryVaynerchuk what does it mean that you don't believe in belts, haha, but the QOTD, I dislike moving very much for the part, but this particular move was only about 5 miles away, we purchased our first home and that moving day was one of the best days of our lives.

  10. Yeah. I have put a lot of time in producing content throughout the years. It is not naturally me. I have gotten a lot better at it, but it will never be my go to. I will never try to monetize it. It hurts because I want it, but it is not my hustle.

  11. QOTD: Probably I'd have to say when I moved out from Roanoke, VA to the Baltimore area for college. Being out of the house and living on own and making my own choices was probably the ultimate test of finding out who I truly was and what I could become. Here I am fresh outta college now and I am AMPED up to hustle hard towards building my brand in the arts and business.

  12. Yeah, losers like me get mad at you for saying you can't go home and decide to muster up more talent because it's a fucking stupid notion. You go home, you evaluate where you're skilled, what you need to work on, and you improve.
