Awesome Tip: Think About Legacy, Not Dollars | DailyVee 355

It’s simple, if you focus on the money, you will make short term decisions that strongly affect your long-term output and your overall legacy. You should care about how many people show up to your funeral, not how many dollars are in your bank account.

  1. I love this video. Gary does great at transmitting his motivational and powerful energy to us viewers. Also excellent clarity here to put the legacy first and not focus on just making money, which is what the majority is doing. I think its great how you used a old clip from 2008 to show the energy level was the same back then. This is one of my favorite videos from GaryVee so far. Thanks for the positive videos Gary!

  2. I am going to call bullshit on this. He has the capacity and the social equity to afford legacy. What about those of us in minority communities who lack the access to equity, lack the access to the circle of friends. Hell how about just simple access to the conferences and networks that you and many like you get.( Hint the cost is too damn high)
So for Gary yeah I get it from his perspective. But I don't buy it, that isn't the America I live in. Too often people of color are left in survive because unless you have artistic or sports talent you are in survival mode. So I get you Gary and understand where you are coming from based on your story and journey. But in regards to persons of color and living that out as an entrepreneur writer…..no you don't get our America at all. We don't have capacity yet here for legacy. We live in a very different America from you. For us its survival. Period.

  3. GV talks a lot about hustle and legacy but I think what gets missed a lot is: You have to find your OWN happiness and balance, whether that's as an entrepreneur or as a corporate executive. Whether that's working 15 hours a week or 4. If you can find your own true North Star (to happiness), you will find success every day in your life as you map towards it.

  4. Saying a lot without really saying anything. Like Einstein said a quiet and modest like brings more joy than pursuit of success bound with contest unrest. Friends and family is all that matters. If you’re not insatiably ambitious the easiest way to steadily differentiate yourself and have moderate manageable success, a comfortable life and more than you’ll ever need is by being reliable. So many people in the workplace aren’t or are only willing to be selectively so.

  5. Best GaryVee video yet. "Did we get anything today?" Babin,"Very little." From this you throw out a vid that has the most impact ever. It is hard to see right now, but this is one of those moments where you are talking to the masses and you touch a few that see things the same way. Things are falling into place and 2018 starts the ball rolling. I am not seeing you as inspiration, but as a kindred spirit with common goals where currency is not a KPI and legacy is the ultimate ROI! Rock on, my man!
