Awesome Tip: What it Means to Make $100,000 in America | Gary Vaynerchuk Keynote Washington D.C 2018

Absolutely loved this keynote that I gave in Fairfax, Virginia at the National Achievers Congress in 2018… By far, the most impactful part of this keynote is when I get the audience to raise their hands about making $100,000. You have to understand that the top 1% earners in America starts at $450,000 a year… not a million.

  1. I have been building an audience around my passion, which is gaming, over the last 2 years. It’s been growing and it’s about to start moving quick. I have been giving my audience all the info and they live it. I just don’t have anything to sell. I feel like i’m backwards form most businesses.

  2. I mostly agree with you about complaining. But I think there’s a difference between “complaining,” and needing to “tell my story” and be heard. So for example, someone coming out of an abusive relationship—if all they are doing is complaining about what a victim they have been, that does them no good. But if what they are doing is telling their story over and over, trying to understand it and reframe it, needing to be heard (which I think is fundamental to being human, needing to tell stories and needing to be heard), then that’s something I believe we need to have patience with. Unfortunately, without context (as you always point out) it’s not always easy to see the difference.

  3. I'm in the trenches, grinding hard. Haven't taken a wage in 9 months so I can grow my business. Been punched in my business face more than mist people my age. But the biggest ah-hah moment for me " if you're not crushing it on Facebook ads or not getting resaults… it's because you suck".
True, so true. Now I'm focusing on actually doing something about it and sorting my shit out
