  1. #QOTD
10 Years ago I would've been 11 but I would happily go back 4 years and tell myself, get started on all those ideas running through your mind now, because 4 years later I'm building and growing 2 businesses that are working really well for me, I wish I hadn't wasted that time due to mental health and bad relationships. I could be doing so much better today but I'm glad I finally got on to it, not many do.

  2. I would tell the 10-year ago version of myself to trust your gut and don't listen to what anybody else says, because you are right. 🙂

    Thanks, GV, as always.

  3. When you get to your detox year, please keep dailyvee with it! We all need to know how to detox when we get there too! In reality though, that would be the exact opposite of the point of a detox year… but maybe it can help you cope, quit your big jobs and engagements, just keep up with the vlogs.

  4. I would tell 16 year old me to travel and explore and learn as I have done, but plan more in order to add more substance. Think about where you're going to go, what you're going to do and why. I am currently slightly stuck in my plans in what to do in the last few years of my 20's, but I'm working on it.

  5. 1. Start the momentum of working harder, not just smarter.

    2. Dont be such a snob towards the idea of social media. Recognize the marketing potential on all platforms.

    3. Get rid of the Audi.

  6. QOTD: advice to my 10 year younger self…
    1. Get ready to be upset, it's not going to happen like you think… your 'what' and 'why' are going to change in a BIG way…
    2. BUT!!!! Keep doing what your doing, and don't allow it to rattle you because 'how' you do what you do, is going to be the 'how' you need then to do the different 'what' and 'why'

  7. Gary I just turned 43 this week, if I could go back 10 years:

    1. I would start CrossFit and get in shape earlier in life.
    2. 2007 I had started a website directory with video Ads .. I gave up too soon.
    3. I would tell myself to focus and hustle more.. never give up!

  8. I'm, now, nearly 8 yrs. sober. Ten yrs ago I would have told myself to pick my ass up and get going. In the time since I quit drinking, I've gone back to school, got my diploma, went to college, got a degree in drafting and design technology and have started my own business designing houses. My one wish is that I would have started this long ago. I waited til my 40s to get going, but I haven't looked back. I thought I was working hard until I found you. Now, I'm working harder than I ever have-still not as hard as you Gary. Keep puttin' it down, I'll keep pickin' it up. Much love.

  9. I would tell my 22-year-old self to think more strategically and not to waste time. I've spent too many years just making living as an entrepreneur, but I've finally started to raise my personal income standard and the quality of projects and clients I want to work with. It seems to have worked, and right now I'm thrilled about the projects I'm about to start working on.

  10. I would tell myself to stop being so insecure and concerned about other people's perception of me. I would also cut out all the time wasting and laziness and work harder.

  11. Enlist in the Marine Corps and get it done. Fear nothing. Integrity is the only thing you own. Hustle harder than you ever have. love as much as you can forgive everything and strive to win everyday!

  12. Yo @GaryVee a cool Dj name for you is DJ GVee lol!! My little bro is 10 years younger than me, and I tell him to not rush into committing into one "profession" just yet. I wish I would've tried more entrepreneurial things , rather than trying to master one specific topic and master it for the rest of my life. The earlier one start to explore other alternatives out there, then one is much closer to finding something that's truly fulfilling to oneself.

  13. I would tell myself 10 years ago … don't listen to anyone but God and live in your purpose. Commit to sharing your story, working your ass off to reach people and let them know they can live a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life. Don't keep that shit to yourself! There is no service in that!

  14. Very interesting advice to 28 Y/O Gary Sir. I'm currently 28 and that's the same advice I'll give to 27 year old Jays. By the way thank Mr. Gary Vay, you inspired me to WORK on pursuing my personal brand and knowing who I really am.

#AskGaryVee I sell high-end real estate, what would be the perfect jab jab jab move for me to attract company presidents/ceo's and their family? My strength and public speaking, what topic would you suggest I give a free talk or to them?

    Jays Geronca from the Philippines

  15. 10 years ago I was 8, I would tell my younger self to be more social, learn to play soccer or any other sport, also start learning the tools you need to start your business and what you want to do. Don't procastinate for years!!!

  16. @23:19 Question of the day….If I could go back ten years and give myself advice I truly think I would go back and reiterate to myself that I would win my appeal and that my 10 year conviction was a mere lesson to take onto my later years…..Plus I would have made sure that I knew who the FUK GARY VAYNERCHUK was and made sure I studied your thought process….You taught me not to dwell, and man that is something every person should rid their selves of!!!!! Thanks for all you do Gary!!!! You're truly an inspiration to  so much that I have going on!!!!!

  17. I would say 'you'll travel the world, you'll find your place called home very far away and you'll be happy! Try to enjoy the now instead of thinking of the future because the time lost doesn't come back and you could've made the most out of it'
