Awesome Tip: How Important My Wife is to My Success

This question and answer came from Episode 4 of the #AskGaryVee show!

Question: How important is it for your significant other to share in your entrepreneurial vision?

Answer: My wife’s impact on my career is much more than I ever expected. I used to think that all that mattered was my own hustle. Heck, I’ve been working my face off all these years but never really knew what my wife’s support would mean to my approach on my life. And so, it’s massively important to have someone that supports you but you need to both have a clear understanding of what your priorities are as a collective unit and it will vary from couple to couple. My wife’s support allows me to give 100% devotion to my ventures, and for that, I’m forever grateful. If it wasn’t for her strength, I wouldn’t be able to give as much time and energy to my businesses, but if that weren’t the case, I’d be okay with it, because at the end of the day it’s my wife and family that take precedent over all else.

  1. Your wife is smart she knows exactly who she married ! And when u talk about being greatful all the time don’t just talk about how the fact that ur alive and the chances it’s probably the best example for Gratitude however no body gives a shit because of entitlement however you can use Being greatful of how you have a wife who lets you do what u do and supports you and that value will be a double hitter one for your wife Ofcorse and another one is self awareness of instead of being with someone who only looks good be with someone who’s going to take your shit someone who’s going to have your back and the only way to do that is self awareness

  2. Love that he didn't use the work-life balance that's become cliche, as much as balance prevails. Precedent is a good way of expression, the fluid communications they've established. That's kinda sweet. And he didn't curse a lot about it

  3. ALso, this is an underrated topic I think you're older audience would appreciate more convo on – not marriage counseling lol, just how relationships/marriage impacts day to day professional goals

  4. I think the key is to find someone who doesn't love you, is only with you for your money, and thus does not care that you are never around (or is happy that you are never around).

  5. This is so true. The peace you have knowing they support you is beyond amazing. Head space you call it… balance is needed as well you are right on with this thank you

  6. If it wasn't for my wife Claudia I would be walking on my knuckles cleaning a slurpy machine instead of running my successful G.U.T.S. sales training business in San Diego.
