Business Tips: What it Really Means to Be an Entrepreneur
Awesome Tip: What it Really Means to Be an Entrepreneur
WANTING TO BE AN ENTREPRENEUR VS. BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR ARE TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. GROWING YOUR BUSINESS IS THE ULTIMATE PRIORITY, WORKING A 9 TO 5 IS NOT.

Want to be an entrepreneur? Start acting like one. I never read about being an “entrepreneur” it was in me, ever since I was a kid. If you have a full time job and you do entrepreneurial stuff on the side, that’s a hobby. Doing entrepreneurship as a hobby is fine, just define which one you are.

Should you become an entrepreneur?
Most want the life style but they are not ready for the journey. Before you decide, think about why you really want to go through all that trouble and if that is really what you want.
The biggest mistake is people jump in unprepared and wasted a lot of time, energy, and capital. I always tell people that unless you have a big reason and are determined to go all the way pursing your success, don’t start. But if you do, make sure you give yourself time because most entrepreneur journey won’t reflect “true” numbers until 10 years in the game. So don’t prematurely judge your progress if you haven't had enough time in.
Comment below and share some key turning points from your entrepreneur journey, let’s help the next wave!

Listening to the Playlist! Great one Gary! Building a business with eBay
I am not Entrepreneur for sure just the tendencies are there !
Thanks for this video!! I am excited to take my grind to the next level. I always felt like I didn't belong at a 9-5 and now I am reassured why. I gave up TV as a sacrifice to my success and I'm excited to do everything it takes to get there! Thanks again!
I am an Artist and I completely agree I've been stuck in that space between my unique skill set and the fact that they say and there's nobody doing it and do it for yourself and being an entrepreneur and what that means to me I think I have a lot of entrepreneurial Tendencies which created lead me to start my businesses but I don't think I'm a "entrepreneur" cuz I love helping other people grow and I'll probably be a great number 2 to Really Good Company And I don't have a problem doing that
wow that was it #changedmylife
Being and Entrepreneur doesn't mean you have to do something huge. That's all relative. Here is the classic definition: a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.
Disagree. Why capture everything by neat definitions; its quite irrelevant. It's the journey and the tenable results which count.
power of a tweet. im here.
I 100% agree with what he said. For the people who don't agree you are not an entrepreneur. I get what he is saying. I could not stand having a boss not because I disliked the person but because when you have a job you are limited to what you can do and limited to what you can make $$$. Besides the money you are able to do what you love to do "your passion". I starting my business at 20 years old. If you want to get experience you gots to jump at it! I didnt know much on how to run a business but learning of your mistakes is the best experience you can ever get! Working for someone else and playing it safe won't do that. By the way the time is NOW!. Think about it there is a lot of people possibly with the same idea of yours and they are taking that step today! while you are playing it same at a job that limits you and taking your valueable time.
I love your work and philosophy Gary. I've been following you for 5 years and have bought every book you've ever written, but this is just plain bullshit. "You're not an entrepreneur if you have a job?" Really! Unfortunately… Everyone wasn't handed a business by their daddy like you were. That being said, 99.99% of the rest of us mere mortals who are beneath you have to work a job while also building our business. You talk a lot about hustle… Working a full-time job AND launching a business… Now that's REAL hustle. This video pissed me off so much I almost permanently unsubscribed from all of your channels. You need to take it down a couple of notches. This one hit WAY below the belt.
I'm really glad I ran into this, but it still doesn't numb the screaming anxiety of "do I do this or do I do that?"
great composition!!!
Personally, I consider myself to be an entrepreneur. However, the problem is that at this point in time, I don't have the skills to make it big. Because of this, at the age of 18 I chose to work with a company that would allow me to start developing core business skills.
I am now 22, and I have developed quite a few skills. I feel confident in saying that I could quit the company that I work for currently and likely start a business that does between $50 000 and $100 000 a year. However, I want to go BIGGER than that, so I'm choosing to stick with the job I have to continue getting my hands dirty & getting real experience.
Just my 2 cents 😉
I understand having a full time job . But what about working a part time job for living expenses, until you business grows to a point where you can work at it full time
Entrepreneurship is over rated. I just focus on making my ideas become reality. I don't give a fuck if I'm labeled an entrepreneur or a crazy person.
It doesn't matter. All that matters is achieving my goals. Like getting fucking rich, retiring young, and helping people achieve their dreams.
I'm surprised you didn't add the piece from your show when you tell everyone that being an entrepreneur is really, really hard!
Awesome insights for creatives!
