  1. I've always thought the same thing! I don't mind living in a cheap apartment as long as it's a fairly safe place, and I can buy healthy food t eat. My dad sometimes asks me what type of car I'd want in the future and I just tell him anything as long as it's decent and takes me to the place I want to be in. He seems weirded out by that. I was thinking to myself I can invest my money in buying that to taking different classes or in visiting a place I have never been into.

  2. Awesome words of wisdom. Before I watch this video, a few months ago my wife and our three young kids decided that in order to get ahead we needed to take steps backwards to get ahead and we made the decision to leave a four bedroom 2200 square-foot house into a two bedroom 900 ft.² rental, and now are three kids off with the one room to a bunkbed one in the closet and they love it! Change doesn’t happen right away but we see the long game and how it’s gonna play out by things that we’re doing today. I look forward to hearing how you piece together The content that speaks to delayed gratification. Thanks @garyvee

  3. only using a portion of their house, we tend to worry about the car you dont drive or the neighbourhood we dont live in. i just realised i am so healthy with so much to be grateful for, im already blessed where i am. i dont need the jones'

  4. This one got to me. I've always dreamt of having a big house (almost estate levels) and driving a koenigsegg and a maserati. I'm only 19 now and I realised that money is not the actual gel between the relationships you share with other people, it's communication, understanding (of self too) and positivity. You've changed my dream. I dream now to live in a small (well, not so small) apartment with my wife and kids or buy a townhouse that's big enough and in a neighbourhood safe enough that it doesn't rob my children of a nice childhood but also small enough that my family gets to connect and share frequently. I pray I can realise this to be true.

  5. do u GARY'Gent audience wanna know what to do at every moment of your life. do what'I've discovered./u must to want and need/be able handle what is at your heart.1001it leads to destiny fulfillment as we at hma'CREW call it1022 people. 1.002gent& lady. the biggest issue is that you are afraid discover your heart ./now tough part/becuse you're addicted from your toxic relations at the closest circle100.2 i told it will be tough. the other reason that you're shaming self. what u may find there.16 years took me to being handle and teach it. and having 5h free video course at channel(–)recap. u want to know what to do and having worth of self. u must start self-appreciate self. but when u are not able to break shines and toxic relationship it never happens.u will not be happy.1.005and it puts densitY'FOG at your soul.its terible.fobu./i stole this one/

  6. I can't stop watching and consuming your valuable content. You obviously dont know me but you have become my mentor. That's the beauty of this day and age is that somebody can become millions of peoples mentor and influence them all in such a powerful way. You've taught me so many things but most of all you've taught me the difference in what society thinks Humility is and what Humility actually is. It's about emotional neutrality. My Personal Legend is in full effect, and I couldn't be more excited. So i simply just want to say thank you Gary Vee.

  7. I really loved that bit at the end! Over the last couple of years i've been working on some stuff in my head about not "downsizing" but "simplifying". People think they need all this stuff in their massive house and to buy all this stuff and the house, they need this really well paying job that they hate. Don't get a job you hate, take the pay cut and stop buying clothes you wear once or items you use once and then go into storage for years. You'll be so much happier with a less cluttered life. A really good documentary for this is called Minimalism on Netflix. I watched it a couple of years ago for University. Simplify your life, buy the things you only need and be happier!

  8. We have this "Premium Fashion Outlets" 400,000 square feet mall near Toronto that is so busy, they had to build an additional parking garage to handle the cars! Boggles my mind when they need a police to direct the traffic there. To me, the shoppers in that mall shopping at Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, The GAP is a whole culture of "Keeping up with the joneses". My jeans are from Walmart costed me $30. Instead of buying $100 luxury brand jeans, I use my saved $70 for other investments instead. That is the mind shift that needs to take place especially with Millennials. You don't need $100 jeans, a $60,000 car and a 4,000 sq ft home to be happy. Be happy with your 2 year old jeans, 8 year old car, and modest apartment….then chase your effing dream with that extra cash!

  9. @garyvee That last comment about building a life that you're golden handcuffed to is so true. This is something that my fiance and I have been discussing for years and try so hard to live by, however, it is hard to live by that due to the constant flood of product marketing and 'dream living' put on by social media. Where do you see those two ideas intersecting? Social reality? Love the content!

  10. Love the content Gary! Would love if you would check out the budgeting series I'm putting together in a few weeks when I have a few of the videos uploaded. I'm putting together a budgeting tool that bases your budgeting based on the percentage of your budget you distribute to things for scaling as opposed to set monetary values. Diving into categories of where your money goes and all that good stuff, I'm hoping it can help some people see hoq easy it really is to rearrange your priorities financially to make your path easier.
